Ted Dillon passed away after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Ted is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barb; and his sons Chris (Leanne), Mike (Nicole), and Brad. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ethan, Marissa, Riyan, Ronin, Arlo, and Ali (Brian).
Ted was predeceased by his parents Don and Pat, as well as his sister Carol and brother-in-law Chuck.
Ted was born in Ponoka in 1950 and came back in 1982 and has dedicated his life to the citizens of Ponoka. He served as the Fire Chief from 1990-2016 and then served on Ponoka Town Council for 7 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, the Calgary or Edmonton Firefighter Burn Treatment Society, or any charity of your choice.
A private ceremony will be held at the Forest Home Cemetery for the family followed by a public Celebration of Life at the Stagecoach Saloon (Ponoka Stampede Grounds) on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1:30 p.m.
