Beverly Gladys (Jones) Hoybak

The beautiful soul of Beverly Hoybak was freed on March 16, 2024.  She was 85 years old.  Beverly will be deeply missed by her daughters Jodi and Wendy (Will), sisters Valerie and Julie (Phil) and brother Harvey (Roberta).  The extra special people in her life, her grandchildren - Nathan (Courtney), Matthew, Noah, Jack, Luke, Cole, Jake and Amelia, will also miss her very much.  Beverly will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was predeceased by her nephew Brent, brother Wayne and husband of 63 years, Dennis.  

Born on July 5, 1938 in the community of Wood River to Ivor and Myfanwy Jones, Beverly was the eldest of 5 children.  She worked at the Alberta Hospital, Ponoka for several years until she married Dennis Hoybak in 1960.  The pair made their home in Edmonton where Beverly worked as a dental assistant until the arrival of their 2 daughters.  Throughout the years that followed, she worked as a health care aid in extended care facilities while continuing to be a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.  Beverly retired in 1998 and enjoyed various hobbies, travel and spoiling her grandchildren. No matter what stage of life she was in, family always came first.

We would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers who supported Beverly through her medical obstacles.  We will forever be inspired by her resilient attitude, loving, caring and kind personality.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2:30 p.m., followed by a Memorial Reception at St. Mary's Anglican Church Hall.  A private Interment Ceremony will be held for the family.
